The "oneill.lst" file contains the JIS X 0208-1990 kanji which can be found in P.G. O'Neill: Japanese Names, along with their index numbers in that book. They can also be found in the KANJIDIC file. The identification of the kanji, and their keying with the O'Neill indices was carried out by Jenny Nazak, David Rosenfeld and me during May-August 1995. My thanks to Jenny & David for this extremely useful assistance. The number of kanji identified is 2,626. The book indexes 3,025 kani, however some are cross-refences to slightly different glyphs of the same kanji, and some are for kanji not in the JIS X 0208-1990 standard.
