          JEDict 2.5 Info

          JEDict program looks up words and kanji characters in the public
domain dictionary database ('kanjidic', 'edict', etc.) maintained by Prof.
Jim Breen (jwb@csse.monash.edu.au).
In addition to traditional kanji search methods, JEDict looks up kanji by
its graphical components  (graphemes or pictograms).

     Ą Automatic text conversion into SJIS format (registered users ONLY).
     Ą Improved search inside dictionaries.

 
          System Requirements

     Ą Mac OS 7.6 or later with KanjiTalk or Japanese Language Kit.
     Ą 7.5 Mbytes of RAM.
     Ą 10 Mbytes free disk space for minimal installation.


          Distribution

          This program is $25 shareware. Some features are available only for 
registered users.  Details see in Register Info file.
The distribution information for 'edict' and 'kanjidic' are stated in the 'edict.doc' 
and 'kanjidic.doc' files.

           Installation

          JEDict distributed as self expanded archive. After installation JEDict folder 
contains the following files:
JEDict 2.5  application (FAT version),
JEDict Manual document,
Edict and Kanjidict  dictionaries inside Dicts folder,		
Register  program, Register Info  document and  Go to Registration page bookmark.

Note.  Kanjidic and Edict files are the SJIS-versions of original ÔkanjidicŐ and 
ÔedictŐ dictionaries from the Monash University FTP Archive.
